Foundations of Faith Community Nursing/Parish Nursing Course

Cost: $250 – Includes “Faith Community Nursing” text, course materials, continental breakfast, lunch, contact hours and Faith Community Nurse pin. (Scholarship opportunities available for SIH employees

Contact Hours: 34 contact hours will be awarded for this educational activity. Attendance at all sessions and the completion of a course evaluation is required for awarding of contact hours.

Target Audience:

Professional Registered Nurses. Current RN licensure required. Other professionals who are interested in participating in a Health Ministry program under the direction of a Faith Community Nurse, can attend with the consent of the course director.

Objectives:

Explore the role of Faith Community Nursing practice as an integrated part of the overall ministry of a faith community. Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to begin and maintain a Health Ministry Program.
