Employment FAQ

Q. Can I just submit my resume?
Resumes can be uploaded with your online application. Resumes are not required.

Q. What is the closing date for the position?
We do not have closing dates associated with positions. Positions are “open” until filled.

Q. What if I become interested in a different job that I did not originally apply for, within the course of the three months that my application is on file?
Applications stay on file for 90 days. During that time, if the applicant finds another job that interests them, they may contact the Corporate Human Resources department and have the additional job(s) added to their current application on file.

Q. What happens to my employment application after submission?
If you meet the minimum requirements for the job you applied, your application will be sent to the hiring manager for further review. Hiring managers schedule their own interviews. If you are contacted for an interview you will be contacted in approximately 2-4 weeks (note: this time period could be shorter or longer depending on the hiring manager’s schedule). Your application will stay active for a period of 90 days from the date you originally applied. Questions regarding the status of your application should be directed to the Employment Office, not the hiring manager.

Q. Will I receive some type of acknowledgement from SIH?
Yes, once the submit button is clicked, there will be a pop-up window with additional information that will inform you that your application has been submitted. Please make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off so you will receive this message to ensure the submission of your application.

Q. Where can I find out more information regarding the position I applied for?
If you are selected for an interview you will be given more information about the job at that time, regarding hours, salary, etc.

Q. Do I need to apply for a job that is currently posted?
Yes, we will only accept applications for open positions. All applicants should review the openings and list the job number of interest on their application.
