SIH has made improving patient satisfaction a very high priority. The Service Excellence Initiative has been implemented to assist our organization in achieving at sustaining a long-term, competitive advantage through increases in patient, employee and physician satisfaction.

In January 2006, Southern Illinois Healthcare was named Employer of Choice by a nationally recognized workforce consulting group, Employer of Choice Inc. SIH is the first Illinois company, health care related or otherwise, and one of 21 companies nationwide to have earned this distinction.
