An affiliation between the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Southern Illinois Healthcare was established in 1997 to bring quality rehabilitation services to area residents. Through this affiliation, SIH and RIC have established a system-wide program for inpatient and outpatient therapy.

This network of care includes:

• Acute Rehabilitation Center at Herrin Hospital
• Inpatient therapy at Herrin Hospital, Memorial Hospital of Carbondale and St. Joseph Memorial Hospital
• Outpatient therapy at Rehab Unlimited and Fit For Work facilities in Carbondale, Herrin, Murphysboro and Anna
