The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free insurance counseling program provided by The Second Act and sponsored by the Illinois Department of Insurance. Driven by volunteers, SHIP provides free counseltations to medicare beneficiaries to help them understand and manage issues related to Medicare, prescription coverage, and other health coverage plans.

Adults 50 and above who need insurance counseling can call the The Second Act office, toll-free, at 1-877-480-4040 to make an appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Friday during regular office hours.
