SIH is Prepared For The H1N1 Virus

Our hospitals, Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Herrin Hospital and St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, are working closely with state and local health departments in sharing information on any H1N1 Virus activity. They each have infection control professionals and strategies in place to prevent and control the spread of infections.

Our hospitals have worked with the local communities for several years to improve the health system's emergency and disaster preparedness and are ready to respond to a flu threat.

For anyone who thinks that they may have flu symptoms or have come in contact with the flu and need to visit the hospital, masks and hand sanitizer are provided at each hospital entrance.
