Spiritual Care
The Catholic philosophy of care is evident in St. Joseph's Spiritual Care department. The Spiritual Care team plays an integral part in the delivery of care by providing planned, organized and coordinated services to meet the spiritual needs of all patients. Spiritual Care is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and assists persons spiritually in accordance with their personal belief system, to find meaning in their life and to accept their illness as an opportunity for spiritual growth and maturity. Grief and bereavement support is available on an independent basis.
Case Management/Social Services
The case management staff is comprised of individuals that assist patients in facilitating discharge plans. By coordinating physician orders with home health, medical equipment, skilled nursing care or rehabilitation services, case managers assist patients and their families upon leave from the hospital. Social services is responsible for arranging community resource needs and addressing any social, psychological or environmental needs.
