The Jackson County Health Department in Murphysboro is now offering free H1N1 vaccines for anyone
age 6 months or older, including healthy adults and senior citizens, during their walk-in immunization clinic
in the front building. No appointment is necessary.
Clinics are held weekly during the following times:
• Mondays - Noon - 3:30 p.m.
• Wednesdays - Noon - 3:30 p.m.
• Thursdays - Noon - 5:30 p.m.
Reminder for Parents: All children under age 10 need to receive 2 doses of H1N1 vaccine. The second dose
should be received 28 days or more after the first dose.
As of January 12, 2010, over 7,000 people hadreceived H1N1 vaccinations at JCHD clinics. If you are ill or
experiencing flu like symptoms, health officials ask that you not come to the vaccine clinics. Vaccine is not
treatment. For maximum benefit, you should wait until you are well to receive your vaccine.
