Compliance Evaluations image

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires certain medical examinations to be performed under specific work conditions or when specific equipment is required to be used to avoid workplace hazards.

Work Care can perform the following OSHA Compliance Evaluations for your company:

  • Respirator fit and clearance testing: OSHA’s respirator standard requires employers to establish and maintain an effective respiratory protection program when employees must wear respirators. Work Care provides respirator testing to ensure proper fit and function to help companies remain in compliance with this standard.
  • Audiometric testing (with and without interpretation): Audiometric testing monitors an employee's hearing over time. It also provides an opportunity for employers to educate employees about their hearing and the importance of using hearing protection.
  • Pulmonary function testing (Spirometry): Pulmonary function testing (PFT) is used to evaluate worker respiratory health and to screen workers for their ability to perform certain tasks. OSHA standards for asbestos, cadmium, coke oven emissions and cotton dust require spirometry testing.
