SIH LPN Transition to Practice

Program Overview

The LPN transition to practice program is a paid learning opportunity for nursing students. This part-time program is open to ADN or BSN students who are in their last year of the nursing program. An LPN license is required for this position. The student will be paired with an experienced nurse preceptor and will be allowed to perform a variety of skills under the preceptor’s supervision.

This position allows the student to float between different medical/surgical units at SIH. Once the student completes the program, they will accept an RN resident position in one of the medical/surgical units or SIH’s med/surg float pool. Questions?
