Student Nurse Extern Program
Program Overview
SIH offers a student nurse extern program that provides a paid learning opportunity for nursing students. This program offers full-time and part-time opportunities and is open to ADN and BSN nursing students immediately prior to or during their final year of nursing school. During the externship, students will be paired with an experienced nurse preceptor and will be allowed to perform a variety of skills under the preceptor’s supervision.
This partnership will provide a variety of experiences to help the extern grow their nursing knowledge and skills. This position offers flexible scheduling. Externs are hired into a variety of units across SIH. Questions? Please contact Heather Julian at heather.julian@sih.net.
Applicant Requirements
- ADN or BSN nursing student in final year of school
- BLS certification
