Elective Surgeries Resume

As we begin our journey toward recovery together, some outpatient elective, or non-emergency, surgeries are resuming across SIH. We will gradually ramp up services, taking great caution along the way to provide the safest possible environment to receive care.
What to Expect
- Your physician’s office and patient registration will reach out to you to facilitate COVID-19 testing prior to your procedure. This must be done at least 72 hours before your surgery.
- In order to proceed, your test result must be negative and you’ll need to self-isolate from the time of testing to surgery.
- On the day of your procedure, you’ll enter the hospital through the main entrance and be taken to a private pre-operative bay.
- We’ll communicate with your loved ones and friends during the course of your surgery and let them know when to return to the facility to pick you up. As one of our many safety measures, we continue to limit entry into our hospitals. Please see our visitor policy during the pandemic.
