Biography

Dr. Chu originates from Canada and he received his education from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, his residency in Neurosurgery from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and his combined spine and research fellowship from the University of Toronto. Dr. Chu’s goal is to provide the best care in the region and to actively listen to his patients. “I want to listen to the patient and provide the care that’s needed. As a neurosurgeon, it’s not always surgery that’s the first move. I want to treat the whole patient.”

Was very rude. Did not explain options to me. Wanted me to schedule surgery, if not, no longer his patient. No bedside manner whatsoever. Does not take his time with you. Got me upset. Don't want to come back to him. He made me cry. This is not the first time of a bad experience w this dr. My previous visit he was rude as well. Did not explain things well and was very rushed. Did not explain surgery to me. Would not recommend him. He may be the best surgeon out there, but the way he treats his patients is unacceptable. I never encountered a dr as rude as him. I don't understand why he can't just explain surgery to you and what your options are. Gives me the opinion that he does not care about the patient maybe it's because I have [...]. Very bad exp. Ruined my whole day!

Told the surgeon, Dr Chu, that I was extremely pleased with his service, with the improvements I have had since the surgery, and with the entire hospital staff before the surgery and the days I was recovering. All levels of staff were excellent. I have since recommended both Dr. Chu and the hospital to friends who are considering back surgeries now.
