Biography
Gillian McVcar, PAC, is a Physician Assistant specializing in Family Medicine at SIH. With a passion for the variety and comprehensive care that family medicine offers, Gillian enjoys working with patients of all ages and continually learning from each experience.
A Southern Illinois native, Gillian moved to Iowa in 2010 with her husband, returning to her roots after 13 years. She and her husband now have three children who keep their lives bustling.
Gillian's patient care approach is collaborative and inclusive, actively seeking her patients’ input on treatment plans to ensure their thoughts and preferences are considered. Having been with SIH for just over a year, she values the supportive and welcoming environment at Logan Primary Care Herrin, where her colleagues have made her transition smooth and enjoyable.
Gillian cherishes the beautiful landscapes, hiking trails, and lakes of Southern Illinois, and is excited to be back in a region she loves.
