Biography
Dr. Matthew Winkleman is a compassionate family medicine physician who has been serving the Harrisburg community since 2005. Born and raised in Harrisburg, he has deep roots in the area and is grateful for the opportunity to practice and raise his family here with his wife and five children.
Specializing in family medicine allows Dr. Winkleman to care for patients across all stages of life, emphasizing compassion, empathy, and advocacy in healthcare. His approach involves listening to patients attentively, understanding their unique stories, and collaboratively developing treatment plans that meet their individual needs.
Dr. Winkleman has been a valued member of Primary Care in Harrisburg for nearly two decades, where he enjoys the close-knit community and the opportunity to work closely with his patients. His favorite aspect of the job is witnessing patients achieve their health goals and overcoming barriers that hinder their well-being.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Winkleman appreciates the small-town atmosphere and the hardworking spirit of the community. He finds joy in being close to his extended family and is committed to continuing his impactful work at SIH, ensuring the best possible care for his patients.
