Dr. Michael Workman, MD, is a dedicated family medicine physician with over 20 years of experience at Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH). He chose family medicine because it allows him to form long-lasting relationships with his patients while caring for their diverse needs across all stages of life.
Dr. Workman is known for his respectful and attentive approach to patient care. He takes the time to listen to his patients' concerns and communicates clearly, ensuring that they understand their plan of care. His goal is to foster a trusting relationship with each patient, making them feel heard and valued during every visit.
Having practiced in the region for over two decades, Dr. Workman appreciates the close-knit nature of smaller communities. He values the connections he has formed with families and neighbors, and he finds great fulfillment in knowing the people he serves both personally and professionally.
