SIH Surgical Symposium 2025

SIH is proud to announce the return of the 3rd annual SIH Surgical Symposium: a one-day conference focused on discussing advanced surgical care at SIH, including:

  • CME's are available for Medical providers, CEU's are available for nursing staff.*
  • Updates in Management of Various Surgical Diseases by Leaders in the Field.
  • Multidisciplinary, technology-forward surgical care
  • Informative panel discussions

Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers and nurses are encouraged to attend. Breakfast and lunch will be provided with a networking hour for attendees after the Symposium concludes.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and Southern Illinois Healthcare. The SIU School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians

CREDIT STATEMENTS

The SIU School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 6 AAP Category 1 CME credits for completing this program.

American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Board (AANPCB) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME as an equivalent number of hours of participation.

SIU School of Medicine is preapproved as a continuing nursing education provider pursuant to Section 1300.130, subsection c), 1), B) and P) of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Nurse Practice Act. Nurses may receive a maximum of 6 contact hours for completing this activity.

All other attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
