Herrin Hospital Auxiliary

Herrin Hospital Auxiliary was organized in 1982 and has approximately 150 members. It is very much involved in many areas of the hospital, and you will recognize volunteers by their pink smocks or burgundy vests and their bright smiling faces. Dues are $5.00 per year for the period beginning April 1. The auxiliary’s annual membership meeting is held each year in March, when new officers are elected and installed.

Volunteer Opportunities

Gift Garden & Coffee Garden

Volunteer duties include operating the cash register and charge card machine, processing phone orders, using the equipment in the coffee garden, and providing customer service. Shifts are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Gift Garden and the Coffee Garden is our source of fundraising and has helped the auxiliary donate hundreds of thousands of dollars of equipment and furnishings to the hospital.
