What conditions does SIH Neurology treat?

Our neurologists treat a wide range of conditions, including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, migraines, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders. If you believe you may need a neurologist, speak with your primary care provider to request an evaluation and referral.

Do you see children under 18?

No. At this time, our neurologists only see adult patients (18 years and older).

How should I prepare for my first neurology visit?

Keep a journal of your symptoms, noting date, time, triggers, duration, and what improves or worsens them.
Bring a current list of all medications (name, dosage, frequency, and method of use).
Write down any questions you’d like to ask the neurologist.
If you’ve had imaging done outside SIH, request a copy of the images on disc and bring it with you.

Is neurology covered by insurance?

Will SIH Neurology manage medications prescribed by other providers?

No. SIH Neurology manages only medications prescribed by our neurology providers. In some cases, once treatment is established, medication management may be transferred back to your primary care provider.
