Student Internship group shot

"This opportunity provided me with invaluable job experience prior to entering medical school. It was especially beneficial in my Essentials to Patient Care course, where we learn foundational clinical skills such as obtaining medical histories, taking vital signs, and developing patient interaction skills. Because of my experience as a medical assistant, I have already developed many of these skills and was able to further refine them over the past year. This experience also helped me build the confidence needed to communicate effectively with patients."

-Kennedie A. M. Marks, OMS-I Class of 2029.
